ADIDAS TURN TO LEO MESSI'S ROOTS TO RELEASE A NEW SIGNATURE PAIR BOOTS INSPIRED BY THE BARCELONA STRIKER'S UPBRINGING IN ROSARIO, ARGENTINA.
The all new adidas Messi mirosar10 boots are a nod to Messi's childhood, they town he grew up in, the town where he learned the game and scored his first goals, before taking the road to glory. The name mirosar10 translates from Spanish to 'my Rosario' with the number 10 Leo's number for both club and country.
The unique design reflects Messi's earliest footballing days with the orange of the boot signifying his first ever club and the green representing their fiercest rivals, who Leo scored 4 goals against in his first significant 11-a-side game as a young fleet-footed lad. The mirosar10 is the most significant of the Messi series due to its closest relationship yet with the player, every detail has a genuine link to the Argentine including insoles which are printed with a map of Rosario that features the Batallón pitch – an abandoned military base field that Leo used to sneak onto through a hole in the fence to play football with his friends.
A testament to where it all began for the four-time Ballon d’Or winner Leo Messi who has re-written the record books time and time again. Tech-wise the design sits on top of the current adizero F50 boot and lands as the seventh, yep seventh, Messi exclusive boot of the year following on from the March drop, 370, Birthday, Battle Pack, Neon Orange and Blaugrana.
The new adidas f50 adizero Messi mirosar10 is available to pre-order now from selected online stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer for a Dec 1 release. What's the verdict?
