MLS NUMBERS TO FEATURES FAN FACES IN AUGUST 2015

Major League Soccer yesterday announced a new initiative to bring fans closer to their club. Throughout August 2015, season ticket holders will have the opportunity to have their images printed within the numbers on the back of the new 2015 MLS Jerseys at their favorite club.

Each MLS club will offer a specific number of season ticket holders to have their faces within the numbers of their favorite club. The season ticket holders will be able to select the number (0-9) and the location within that number and upload their image.

Teams will wear the special numbers on the home, away and third kits during all regular-season games in August 2015.

MLS is the first league to utilize the special numbers with fan pictures, while teams like Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Schalke 04 have already used special numbers with fan images. 

In September 2014, MLS announced the league re-branding MLS Next, which includes a totally new Major League Soccer crest.
