EPL 2014-15 Summer Transfer Window Total Spending
With the summer transfer window shutting on September 1st at 11pm, the top teams in the English Premier League shelled out some serious cash in a record breaking effort. The search for new talent carried on late in to the night, and was fruitful for a number of the top flight clubs. 2014-15 Premier League Transfer Window Stats
So the 2014-15 transfer window saw an increase in spending from £535 million last season, to £830 million as of 1 AM this morning.
A total of £530 million went to overseas clubs, £240 million went to Premier League sides, and the remaining £65 million went to football league sides.
Manchester United’s £153 million splash was the biggest ever recorded for a Premier League side, and £59.7 million of that was to Real Madrid for their former winger Angel Di Maria.
